Kilmaronock/Gartocharn Men's Bowling Club

The Carpet Bowling Club held its first game in 1933 and, apart from missing the war years, has been running ever since. The Club originally held their games in the Old School House.

The game is played using small wooden bowls made by R. G. Lawrie from Lignum Vitae – a very hard wood. Matches are held on Tuesday evenings from October to April, at 8.00pm, in the Bowling Hut next to Gartocharn Church. Matches are played against other local villages.

The Committee

  • Secretary/Treasurer:     Richard Crawford
