Kilmaronock Community Council

Community Council meetings usually take place at 7.30 pm in Kilmaronock Millennium Hall on the first Monday of the months of January, March, May, July, September and November, but please check the Village Diary for confirmation of this.

Kilmaronock Community Council (KCC) was set up 36 years ago for the Gartocharn area, roughly stretching from Ballagan in the west to the border with Stirling in the east and south from the Kilpatrick Hills to the south eastern shores of Loch Lomond including the islands of Inchmurrin, Creinch and the Aber Isle. The Council is known as the Kilmaronock Community Council, named after the parish of the area.

The Community Council was set up in order to establish the views of those living in the area, to co-ordinate and express these views to the local and public authorities and act responsibly in the interests of the community. It is in regular communication with West Dunbartonshire Council, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and other agencies regarding issues affecting us from planning, children's playgrounds, busy roads and street lighting to public transport and community safety – anything of interest or concern to local people.

It currently meets six times a year in Kilmaronock Millennium Hall in Gartocharn, usually at 7.30 pm on the first Monday evening of alternate months, ie. January, March, May, July, September and November.
