Kilmaronock Community Action Plan

In 2003, following a large scale consultation, the Kilmaronock Action Plan was published. In 2008, again following a large scale consultation, the revised action plan was issued.

A copy of the 2008 plan can be downloaded here.

The vision and aims of the community, as drawn from the plan are:

  • A rural community where agriculture is still the main land use.
  • A safe community where people take priority over traffic.
  • A balanced community with a good mix of ages and a broad range of housing to suit local needs.
  • An active welcoming community with good paths and routes for walking, cycling and riding.
  • An enterprising community where opportunities for local working are encouraged.

Kilmaronock Community Trust exists to work to achieve these aims. A twice yearly meeting is held with Kilmaronock Community Council to monitor and progress the actions. A progress report is given to the community at the Trust's AGM, held in January each year. All members of the community are welcome to attend the AGM, however, only members of the Trust are eligible to vote.
