Dumpling Times — the Village Newspaper

The Dumpling Times is produced every two months by a team of volunteers, all of whom live in, or very close to, Gartocharn. The first edition was printed in April 1997 by Famedram Publishers Ltd. in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, who were formerly based in the the old Ardoch Bridge School. For the past ten years the Dumpling Times has been printed by Miller Reprographics Ltd. (now Hobs Reprographics plc) in Glasgow, who have always bent over backwards to help get things 'just right' and at the 'right price'.

We try to cover a wide range of topical subjects including local weather statistics, reports from the Clubs and Groups, the Church, Community Council Minutes (also available on the website), Diary Dates, reviews on local eateries and cultural events, competitions etc.

Contributions to the publication are always welcome and can be sent by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or placed in the Dumpling Times box in the Village Shop.
