Friday Coffee Morning

Friday Coffee Morning and Craft Fair

The Friday Coffee Morning attracts visitors from far and wide and is a great place to meet friends and catch up. Not only is there coffee on offer but also a range of arts and crafts are sold with some regular stalls and others who come on a more infrequent basis. All of this and, of course, the best view of any village hall in the country.

Every Friday the main hall buzzes with excited chatter as up to 200 people arrive to enjoy a delicious cup of tea or coffee and a taste of home baking – all at the very reasonable price of £1.50 for a mug of coffee and a cake. The event is staffed entirely by volunteers as teams of three or four undertake to supply the baking and run the kitchen for one Friday in every month. Other volunteers set out the tables, manage the stallholders and clear up afterwards.

The Coffee Morning has been running since the Hall opened over ten years ago and contributes greatly to the running and upkeep of the Hall. Last year over £12,000 was raised which went straight into Hall funds.

New volunteers are always welcome either to help out on the day or to bake. If you are interested in being involved please contact a committee member.
