Who Are We?

In 2006 the Gartocharn Community Website received support and funding from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Community Partnership, Awards for All, Lomond & Rural Stirling LEADER+ and Stirling Council.

In December 2009 a new updated version was created.

Danny Owens, who designed the first site, continues to advise us and to arrange the hosting and server details.

Allan Watson designed the new template and gave up a lot of his time to make everything work correctly. We are very grateful to him.

Bob Balmer has carried out so many photo shoots for us we are surprised he has time to do his day job – lots of thanks to him too!

Doug Akhurst is another photographer extraordinaire! Fortunately for us he is retired and very willing to "drop everything" to get us photographs of all kinds of things!  Many thanks, Doug.

The actual building of the site was done by Elaine Ellen (technical stuff), Thea Roxburgh (writing stuff), Celia Burn (more writing stuff) and Sheila Watson (design stuff).

Helen Glasgow picked up most, if not all, unintentional typing mistakes, factual errors etc. Many thanks, Helen.

Lots of people have put up with being quizzed about dates, times, who did what and when, without their help there wouldn't be much information here for you to read. Many thanks to all of them – they know who they are!

As you will have gathered from the above the website was built and is maintained by volunteers, the intention is to keep it updated on a regular basis so please keep us informed of any changes as soon as you know about them, and please bear with us if you ask for something to be done and it doesn't happen instantly – it will be done just as soon as possible!
