KILMARONOCK LOCAL PLACE PLAN

INITIAL CONSULTATION SURVEY

We are putting together a Local Place Plan (LPP) for Kilmaronock.

This is something that communities across Scotland are doing, to gather views from people who live and work here about what sort of community we want. What you tell us will inform the Community Council, Community Trust, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Authority and West Dunbartonshire Council about our priorities. They will then have to consider what we write. We’d like to identify specific issues and improvements you’d like to see, to help us all to build the community that you think we should be.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the initial survey. This information gathering is a first step, to help us understand your priorities. Once we have analysed the results of the survey we will host a public meeting and information session in KMH, when we will present back the findings so far and invite comments and discussion on the most important themes. After that we will prepare our Draft Local Place Plan and invite further comment, focussing on sections of the community who have been under-represented so far. Finally we hope to publish our Plan in summer 2023, in time for it to be taken into account by the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park in their new park-wide Local Development plan.

Once completed and signed off, local groups including Community Council and Community Trust will be engaged in trying to deliver your ambitions.

The LPP group is made up of representatives from most of the existing village groups and we would welcome anyone else who wants to be involved in any part of the project. If you have any queries about the process, please email us.
