Local Amenities

Being a relatively small and spread out village, the amenities are few, but there is a Village Shop, Filling Station and Post Office, France Farm (the once weekly veg shop) and the Hungry Monk (currently being refurbished). There is also a small garage, Cooper's (haulage contractors) and the Head Office for Lochs and Glens, the travel company which is accommodated in the old Ardoch Bridge Primary School. Stops for 15 minutes in the lay-by opposite the Football Pitch in Gartocharn on Monday mornings between 09.45 and 10.00 am, except on Bank Holidays! A very useful amenity once you get into the habit of using it. Remember . . . use it or lose it!
