Gartocharn Branch of the SWRI
Welcome to the Gartocharn branch of the Scottish Women's Rural Institute (often abbreviated informally to ‘the Rural’). The group is committed to local community life and to encouraging awareness of Scotland’s rural heritage.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30 pm in Kilmaronock Millennium Hall, Gartocharn from September to April. Topics covered range from cookery and craft demonstrations to talks from invited speakers on topical subjects including health, beauty, social issues and presentations from representatives of various charities.
New members and visitors are assured of a warm welcome, not to mention the best cup of tea and home baking in the area!
Why not become a member? Annual Subscription £14 and visitors are charged £2.00 per meeting.
